1) Write an analysis of the cinematography in the opening sequence. Highlight your use of media language and try to cover camera shots, angles and movement using the terminology we have learned in lessons.
Camera shots-
The black fade behind the logo to the logo on the suit and spider-man falling in the air, establishes the danger he pursues in his heroic activities. The back of his suit is rippled by the the resistance his body poses against the air, reinforcing the dangers and thrills he subjects himself to. He then smoothly tilts his head downwards and faces his feet towards the camera. The camera zooms out ever so slightly, giving him room for the audience to see him flip and swing as the camera switches to being placed under him. So we can see him in the sky next to the skyscraper- convey how high he is to the audience. The audience also gets an interesting kind of POV shot from a low angle. The camera movement is fluid and clean- not choppy at all. The movement is not static, there are pans used all over this opening scene, as they're needed to track the characters movement.
2) How does the camerawork give the audience clues about the setting, narrative and character?
The opening scene establishes the city setting for the audience , as we get a bird eye view of the buildings when spider-man is falling and we also hear the cars honking when the character gets close to the road. The clues we get about the narrative are from what we are shown , like the police chase- which makes it evident that the narrative has something to do with catching "bad guys" - good Vs evil. And since we follow the character that seems to be chasing these "bad guys" it is made clear that he is the hero in this scenario.

I saw the Tv glow -
These two characters seem to sitting on the sofa- persumeably in front of a television screen. They're sitting quite close to each other so we can assume that they're close with each other, probably friends. The blueish lighting is mostly used to convey suspense or a somberful atmosphere. The girl is staring into the Tv with tears developing in her eyes, portraying that they may be watching something tear-jerking. However the boy is watching her, not the Tv , he has this scowl on his face or maybe it is envy he is portraying. Anyhow it is not a positive emotion.
3) Analyse the camera shot/angle in the image and what it communicates to the audience. Remember to highlight the media terminology you use.
The camera angle used was a static, medium shot. As we can see their torsos upwards, even though we can see their knees, it doesn't show their feet. The fact that they're balled up like this suggests uncomfortability, with both of their shoulders visibly tense against their bodies.A preferred interpretation could convey something dramatic happened or is about to happen to the audience.
